Description: Black on light brown floral underprinting, arms at upper center. Back blue on light gray underprinting. This note has a number of interesting features, with the front being printed in Russian and the back in German. This note was issued by Colonel Prince Pavel Avalov Bermondt, commander of the West Russian Volunteer Army, which consisted primarily of Baltic German soldiers left over from World War I. Originally formed to fight the Bolsheviks, Avalov-Bermondt instead tried to re-establish German influence in west Russia and was defeated. 100mm x 70mm.
