Condition: Fine, three vertical creases, slight splitting at top and bottom of centerfold, some soiling on reverse. Good paper quality for the grade, with still vibrant colors on the front.
 
Description: Black on pink and green underprinting, with vignette of allegorical woman left and portrait of Christopher Columbus lower right. Bank name presented at top center. Reverse dark red (almost maroon), with Bolivian arms at center surrounded by bank name and denomination. Issued from the city of Oruro, located in west-central Bolivia, which was at one time home to major silver and tin mines. It is assumed that this bank was established in order to facilitate the finances for the mine owners and workers. Scarce and highly collectable.
